Mint has an instantly recognisable aroma that reminds us of summer.
Classic culinary uses of mint are with lamb and traditional vegetables such as peas, carrots, new potatoes and beans. Mint also makes a good replacement for basil in many dishes, bringing with it a fresh taste. Try it with grilled vegetables or in salads with tomatoes.
Many things that work well with tomatoes will also work with stawberries and mint is no exception. This versatile herb will combine well with many fruits as well as savoury dishes and can also be used of course with cold drinks like Pimm’s and as an addition to herbal teas.
When in season we have a wide variety of mints in our speciality culinary herbs including Chocolate Mint, Basil Mint, Banana Mint, Lime Mint and Pineapple Mint
